Upon reflection, that's not good
This is a phonologically relevant news story. A white teacher tells his student to: "Sit down, nigga." In this clip the man illustrates the difference between [nɪɡə], which he is arguing to be the non-offensive colloquial term, and [nɪɡɹ], the racial slur.

LOLsyntax
This isn't nearly as cool as LOLphonology, but it is something that I thought I should point out to you guys. It is also far less popular; take a look at the number of members and pictures. Pathetic! Phonology is so much cooler than Syntax.
I ain't drinkin' Hateraide
I would propose [fənɔlədʒi blɔg] as a title. Could this be a regional difference? Des Moines and Forest City are nearly 200 miles apart. Not sure? Then, watch this.

Hey guys,
I've never actually started a blog before, but after some discussion, this seemed like a really good idea. It can be a fun way for us to continue being the geeky kids that we are, and also, we can keep up with each other after we make our departures from the University of Iowa. If anybody has ideas as to how we can make this even better, just let me know.
